My poems...

Meh, I suppose I'll put some of the poems I've written up on here. I mean, I have them on another site for complete strangers to see, I figure some of my friends should be able to read them too if they so wish.


All I Ask For.

I want your love,
I want your devotion.
That's all I ask for,
It's all I could wish for.
If I had nothing else
you'd be more than enough.
As the saying goes,
love can walk through fire.
Now I've given you mine,
I hope you do the same.
That's all I ask for,
it's all I could wish for.



Is It Real?

When I tell you how I feel,
that I love you with everything.
Do you worry or fret...?
Grow concerned for the future?
Or do you feel safe...
Knowing how much I care.
Am I a fool for believing
when you tell me you love me...
Or should I take every word
and hold them close to my heart...
I see the best and worst in you.
I've been with you through the good and bad.
I'd gladly go throught it all again...
as long as I'm with you
everything will be alright.


She Left Her Mark.

I don't know why but she broke my heart,
like the others she left her mark.
I hide my pain from prying eyes
not wanting anyone to realize,
just how deep I was cut.
Causing my heart to become shut.
So I will not tell
just how far, I have fell.
She left her mark
on my broken heart.


Heart Of Stone.

I always feel alone,
my heart, made of stone.
Although when I'm with you
my world isn't quite so blue.
Please tell me you'll be mine,
write me a letter, give me a sign.
Your feelings need to be shown
to melt my heart of stone.


Another I'll Never Forget.

Another I'll never forget.
My love for her, un-dying...
but cold words of rejection
cut deep like a knife.
I know it will heal,
slowly over time
but that doesn't help now,
the wound still burning.


I'll Wait

Everyday we spend seperated...
each night we can't talk,
seems forever and a half.
An oasis being the day
I get to hear your voice again.
For you though, I'll wait.
All that's sacrificed will be worth it
because I know, the time will come
when nothing can keep us apart.
But untill then, I promise you this
I'll wait... I'll wait for you
for the stars to align, for worlds to collide,
untill the very end of days...
I'll wait.


A Hopeless Romantic

A hopeless romantic
lost in a world of pessimists.
His greatest desire,
to find true love.
Still it evades him
but he knows the journey
to find the one, has just begun.
His heart broken already,
will not shut out love.
Even as it seems there is no hope,
for love... he keeps searching.
A hopeless romantic

clinging to the only thing left...
the thought of finding true love.


I Dream Of You

I dream of you
once my eyes shut
in the middle of the night,
I just can't help myself.
You somehow manage
to get into each dream.
I don't know how you do it
but I'm under your spell now.
I dream of you
my eyes wide open
with the sun high in the sky,
I just can't help myself.
In my dreams I see you smile,
in my dreams I hear you laugh...
I dream of you all the time,
I just can't help myself.


Those Beautiful Eyes

Looking across the room
and locking eyes with you
a single word need not be said.
All is in, those beautiful eyes.
Still, I wait for the silence to be broken
for the chance of listening to what you think.
Because I know you are so much more
than what everyone sees at first glance.
What I know, is that you're just as gorgeous
on the inside as you are on the out.
For now though, I am just going to settle
with gazing into those beautiful eyes.


Three Bullets

He walks to the closet and opens the door,
picks out three bullets while grabbing the gun.
He sets them on the table
then goes for some paper and a pencil.

Sitting at the table thinking what to write...
tired of this world, tired of his life
the paper he leaves blank.
Into the revolver he loads three bullets.

While spinning and closing it,
he wonders if this is the end.
About the paper he has second thoughts,
so he writes 'I'm sorry, good-bye.'

Grabbing again the pistol
he points it to his head.
He starts to shake, still not sure of his decision...
a moment of fearlessness
he pulls the trigger, the hammer comes down...
nothing happens, he tries to catch his breath.

Dropping the gun he stands up,
realizing the gravity of what he tried to do.
After a few moments he puts everything back.
The paper he throws away and pretends,
that none of it even happened...


Makes It All Worth-While

Even after hearing your words of rejection
my eyes are still only for you.
You are the only one I want.
In a way, I'd like to say
that everything I do...
is only for you.
While that is true, it is also a lie.
I get so much from helping you,
I see your smile and your eyes light up.
And that to me, makes it all worth-while.


To This Day

I love you still to this day
but you no longer take my breath away.
You had such a powerful hold over me,
I would have done anything for you for free.
In fact I would have been filled with glee,
but that, you just never could see.
A couple of heart-felt letters to you
made certain the fact that we were through.
I'm sorry you had to cry,
that I will not deny.
Although you're the one that split with me,
so you again, I fear to see.


I'll Still Love You

I know I should be happy
that you found someone new,
someone... who makes you smile
even when you want to cry,
who makes you courageous
even when you want to run-away,
someone who does for you
what you do for me.

I don't want to accept
that you're with him, not me...
You've kept me going
when I had given up on myself...
You're everything to me,
though whom-ever you choose
I'll still love you...


My Heart Is Yours

My heart is yours
to take in your hands and hold
or to crush under your foot.
Though, no matter what you do
I'll never stop loving you.
I'll put everything on the line.

We follow our hearts
even as they mis-guide us,
leading us to both pain and joy.
Mine leads me to you
and hopefully, this will end in joy.


My Love For You

My love for you
is more intense than a wildfire,
purer than freshly fallen snow
and unable to be shaken by any earthqauke.

My love for you
is heart-stopping like lightning,
earth-moving like a landslide
and powerful as a tsunami.

It echoes through my veins
as thunder booms between mountains.
It soothes my soul as if a babbling brook,
and like the ocean, it's never ending.


Praise To The Soldier

Praise to the soldier
who fights not for blood-lust
but to protect what he holds dear.
Friends, loved ones and country alike,
all held in the utmost respect.

Not always, do the actions of the soldier
agree with the morals of the man,
but the soldier must be willing to do what necessary
for the safety of those back home
and the allies standing beside him.

Praise to the soldier
who does not what he wants
but what he must.


To See You Smile

To see you smile
even the tiniest of smiles...
I'd work day and night.
I wish I could take each of your burdens
off your shoulders and upon my own.
If I could,
in a heart-beat I would.
Just for you to laugh
I'd give all I owned.
Nothing is more precious or valueable
than knowing you are happy.


Hold Me To This Oath

I wouldn't say I'm tough
and I'm far from fearless,
but when it comes to your safety
there's nothing I won't do.
These are not words without meaning
nor is this an empty promise.
I expect nothing less
than to be held to this oath,
for each word rings true
to what my soul wants.

I swear on my life
that I'll do everything I can
to keep you safe.


Let Me Save You

If only you would let me
come to your rescue,
to save you from those doing you harm.
If it's money you need
I'd sell all my posessions.
If it's protection from foes,
I'd lay down my life.
To get you to a safe place
I will do anything.
Nothing nor no-one,
will be able to stop you.
Ask for my assistance
and I swear you'll have it.
Seeing you hurt
is the worst thing I've felt.
No-one should live the life you must.
Let me save you...


My Only Question Now

Each day my life ticks by
and I can't help but wonder why,
why you turned me down,
why you said no...
Do you think I'm not good enough for you?
Do you feel you're not good enough for me...?
I already know your darkest secrets,
everything from what's happened to you
to what you've done to yourself...
None of it has made my love falter.
My only question now
is why are you saying no?
Though I'm not demanding an answer,
I can't help but wish for one.


Slice By Slice

Slice by slice
you cut yourself down
and piece after piece
I build you back up,
for there seems nothing I can do
to stop the corrupt deeds
that rain down upon you.
I must, for now, satisfy myself
with picking up the pieces
and fixing what I can...
Although, with this
I will never be happy.
You're hurting, I can feel it
in every word you say.
The only thing that may help
is knowing things will change...


The Wristband

On my wrist I wear a band,
a physical representation
of my love for you.
It's not as though I need it,
for you are always on my mind.
But when my body is weak,
my spirits are down
and my thoughts, scattered...
I just have to look at my band
and then the hurdles of life
don't seem quite so over-whelming.

But, apparently it's not going to happen. (Me and Her) So... there's no real point in telling you whom she is.
