I wanna hear your instrument stories people! what got you into said instrument!

I'll go first I suppose

I play the Drums!, Guitar (only a little), and am learning to play the piano.
I've been playing the drums for years because my older brother Matt was in a band but his drummer always bailed on him during practices. So I would always mess around on the guys drum set just for funnzies in what not. My brother saw I liked the drums and bought me my own set and taught me a little bit and i learned a bit from his on again off again drummer. Matt could only teach me so much because the drums weren't his instrument so I pretty much had to teach myself. I would spend HOURS! and I mean HOURS listening to drum heavy tracks and do my best to imitate them.
Well that was a good 11-12 years ago and I'm still playing! Not as much as I'd like but still
Drumming is a big part of my life its helped me through some tough times. When I'm mad or angry I just jam out on my set to my hearts content. That may sound stupid but they are an excellent way to blow off steam. And after all these years of playing I feel I'm actually pretty good I'm not trying to sound conceited just saying after this long I hope I'm good lol

I play a little guitar just tid bits I've picked up over the years but I'm like WAY rusty. I used to play bass for a while in a small band I was in.

And an instrument I've always wanted to learn and sort of am/trying to is the piano. Its different from the drums much less subtle and can make even the most loudest and obnoxious song into something beautiful. I'm no mozart by any measure but I'm still giving it a shot!

Now I could've gone on more about drumming and all that nonsense but I wanna hear other instrument stories first so let me have it!

I geuss I play saxaphone and all that but i dabble in violin , banjo, guitar and just about any string instrument there is ( I reeeaaally want to learn the lute)

so I was in 6th grade i think and decided to join band and thats how i learned saxophone

8th Grade and I just decided why not and the guy with the mowhawk wanted to teach me a song on guitar so i said why not and what have you

Violin/Banjo:
Love that folky sound that comes out of them when they're used expertly ( obviously not by me)
